The Ins and Outs of Bend, Oregon Through a Locals Perspective.

1120091310     So now that the first winter holiday season has ended, this is the perfect time for you to get your legs back in shape. With most people working and with the kids in school during the week, the slopes at Mt Bachelor are not crowded. If you live here like I do, then your lucky to have this gap between Thanksgiving and the Christmas Holidays. We have roughly 2 weeks before the next wave of visitors comes to Central Oregon. In this slow time we can take advantage of the slopes without having to look over your shoulder on every turn or jump. Although we only have a 40″ base, it is only the beginning of the season, so watch out for the nasty lava that we know all to well. Until we get a little more base, the deep trees might be a bit sketchy, but the groomers, parks and natural jibs are always fun.

As we wish for more snow, get out there now and get some turns before the crowds come back. And if you don’t have a season pass, then check out www.mtbachelor.comfor details on all the current and upcoming events and discounted ticket prices.
